Is this safe?

I've been feeling really down recently, my seroxat has been put up to 50, and it seemed to work for a while, and then I slid back. I've been taking some St Johns Wort for a few days and have started to feel a lot better. Better enough that now I'm beginning to wonder whether I should be doing it at all.

I could make an appointment to see the shrink, and get the antidepressent increased up to 60, but that would be at its max, and unless its really desperate, it takes ages to see him, and I'm back at uni a week on Monday.

So...is it safe to carry on with the St John's Wort for a little while?

If you mean that you are combining seroxat and SJW without medical supervision no that's not safe. it may be a herb but it's not innocent.

Guess I'll have to make that appt. then. I always feel like I'm wasting his time and complaining about nothing when I go and see him. Other people have much worse problems than me.

Thanks

No don't mix SJW and AD!!! They do the same thing and in theory you could OD!

I've stopped. I was just so desperate to feel better. Once I was thinking straight again I was wondering if it was a good idea...hence my OP.

Will try the vits.

Thanks
