experience of quetiapine?

I have just been prescribe this medication by my doctor and am really scared of taking it after reading quite a lot of negative things about it on the internet, I knew I shouldn't have googled!

Does anyone have any experince of this medication

Would be really grateful for any comments

I have been on Quetiapine for 5 years.
When I first started on them I was in hospital, they did make me sleep quite alot to start off with. I also had some really bad dizzy spells with them until my body got used to them.
I have had them increased over the years and am now on the maximum dose 800mg.

I cant take any cold medication with them but thats the only thing I know of.

They did help at the start, made things feel calmer, helped me sleep. I was having really bad thoughts before I was put on them and they did help with them.

I'm on a low dose of this and haven't had any problems. Helps with racing thoughts and sleep x
