i've been taking both of the above for a couple of months now - for severe depression - but over the last couple of weeks i've felt unbelieveably tired and drowsy. Yesterday dh had to come and wake me at lunch time. I normally go to bed between 9 and 10pm so i'm not up that late. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this or whether it could be related to something else

any answers would be appreciated

how much quetiapine are you taking? I found it less sedating at higher doses (say 600-800) than lower (300), but that might have been from being on it so long (a few years)

or from being a bit hypomanic

you could try taking it all at night, or taking it early in the evening (7 or even 6pm?)

as a treatment for depression it doesn't exactly lift mood or even augment the prozac in the ways, say, lithium would, but it should improve sleep and appetite which I suppose makes people look less depressed on the face of things

severe depression itself of course very very debilitating, but might be worth a full blood count if not had one recently - rule out thyroid problems, anaemia etc

lots of people do find it too sedating, think there is a slow release version available? I just have normal seroquel but would try sustained release if it made me too tired

if you are already on that one you might have to try the old school anti-ps, chlorpromazine or stelazine or something?

Hope something works for you soon
