Alternate Day Fasting - anyone want to join me?

Hello,

Ideally I would like to lose 2 stone. I have had 7 months of a very sedentary work contract and the weight has crept up, particularly on my belly and my face.

I’m going to try alternate day fasting. (ADF). I had some success with this last year before stoping due to TTC which sadly hasn’t worked out.

I’m allowing myself 600 calories on the fasting days (and for ease will use shakes to start with) and will eat normally on a non-fasting day. Anyone with me?

I will likely do better if I make myself accountable so am going to record my progress each week.

Starting weight (24 Jan): 80.7kgs/12.7 stone
Started ADF on 25 Jan

Looks like it’s just me then! I’m going to post to keep myself accountable even if I’m doing this solo on here 😊

I’m on Day4, two fasts in and I have already lost 1.6 kg/3.5lbs which is encouraging when not even a week in. I know this is just water and all that but still, I’m happy.

Had 3 shakes on the first fast day, 2 shakes on the second (as I just didn’t feel that hungry) and felt fine. Drinking lots of water.

Ate and drank normally on the non-fast day and will do so today- though my appetite seems less than usual which is positive.

My husband has just been warned he’s on the cusp of potential diabetes so he’s joining me and this gives us both extra motivation to stick with it.

You’d be very welcome to join us on the 36-hour fast. There’s at least a regular Sunday - Tuesday fasting habit. (I’m currently on a sabbatical due to illness).

However, I would say that we’re all actually fasting, so no shakes.

Thanks @Peae I will do so 😊

Can I have the link to that post please?
