Please help me. I've done this diet before, lost a stone or so but gradually put most of it back on.

I'm starting today and need company/ motivation etc.

Anyone want to join me?

I don't expect to do that again but after no loss last week I was very very strict and just walked tons.

Rodedooda · 07/03/2022 13:00

Wow well done!!

I forgot to weigh myself this morning - that's now 6 weeks down.

Rodedooda · 08/03/2022 08:23

0.7kg down since last Tuesday
3.8 overall, 6 weeks in.

Still finding it easy generally. Bacon rolls broke me on Saturday but just viewed it as opening my window a bit early Smile.

Constipation can be a bit of an issue. Drinking more water and adding chia and that sort of thing to a daily bowl of natural yoghurt is helping. Not brought out the prunes quite yet!

TabithaTittlemouse · 08/03/2022 09:25

Can I join please? I need to get batteries for my scales but have put on a lot of weight recently.
Reading through this thread has been really helpful!

sunshineforest · 09/03/2022 15:15

Hallo, I'd like to join. I've given up alcohol (51 days!) but replaced it with snacking at first, while I no longer need to do that I would now like to shift the weight. I've got about a stone to lose (not all related to snacking over the past month).

Whichcatthatcat · 16/03/2022 08:54

Hi, I'm just checking in for some inspiration/kick up the bum.
It's not going well, missed 2 days fasting and eaten too many puddings.
Someone help please. Aaarrggg

I'm in lanzarote just now and desperately hoping I've not piled everything back on!

Rodedooda · 16/03/2022 09:12

Whichcat - I've been finding that if I've had a weekend off fasting the scales are high on Monday but a couple of days fasting sorts it out and I get a bit of a loss whoosh! So get back on it!

I hit milestone 2 on the Happy Scale App today - I've divided my goal into 10 steps. My overall rate and current rate are about 0.5kg - I can live with that!

Rodedooda · 16/03/2022 09:13

Also, maybe start with a 14h fast then move it up an hour each day, if you've had a non fasting period?

Whichcatthatcat · 16/03/2022 13:46

Plump82 hope you are having a great holiday.
I know I eat when I stressed, and things are rather tricky at work and home at the moment, so I need to find another way to cope with stress.

Well i got home last night and weighed myself and was pleased to say I only gained 1.3lbs. The last time I checked my weight was the 7th March so I don't think that's bad going at all.
I've got the start of my 40th birthday celebrations starting in just over 3 weeks so the pressure is on as I've bought a fabulous dress that I need to fit into!!

peachgreen · 23/03/2022 13:11

I've been doing it for two weeks now now, plus cooking from the Fast 800 recipe books during the week (so high protein/low carb/under 1000cal a day) and have lost 4lbs. I did it before Christmas and lost 2 stone in 5 months. I found it quite easy to stick to, but that's because at the weekends I drop the calorie restriction (though I still fast) and eat what I like (within reason!). That obviously slows progress but it makes it more sustainable for me long term.

Plump82 · 27/03/2022 14:14

How's everyone getting on?

Whichcatthatcat · 27/03/2022 15:06

Hi, I lost 0.7kg this week (1.5lbs)
No idea how!

Coming to join! Will start fasting from tomorrow. And early nights are a good thing

Plump82 · 27/03/2022 16:21

Excellent news @whichcatthatcat
I'm hoping for similar when I weigh myself tomorrow.
@beansonpizza good luck with starting!

mariepopp · 27/03/2022 17:50

Can I join in please? I've a stone to shift once I'm over a stinking cold, desperate to get back into summer clothes this year.

Plump82 · 28/03/2022 17:30

3 lbs off this week. Next goal is to hit 2 stone in the next 4 weeks. I'm feeling confident!

Whichcatthatcat · 28/03/2022 19:17

Well done Plump82. Should you change your username now?

Since I started this thread on 23rd Jan, I've lost 8.5lb. Not lots, but the right direction. It's about 1lb a week, which I hopefully sustainable.

OP posts:
Plump82 · 28/03/2022 19:41

Maybe I should change it to a Alittlelessplump!

Rodedooda · 28/03/2022 22:49

@Plump82

Maybe I should change it to a Alittlelessplump!
You really should Grin

Scales aren't shifting much for me at the moment, too many blips/social events but I'm not gaining at least, managing to maintain my current loss.

I'm considering building up (down?) to a 5 hour eating window. But last night I was still awake at 4am and tummy really rumbling, had to resolve that!

Lifestyle not diet...

peachgreen · 28/03/2022 23:07

I've lost 9lbs in total in about 3 weeks (only 2 weeks strictly on plan) but fell off the wagon yesterday and drank far too much Prosecco, then inhaled three slices of toast and was too hungover to cook tonight so had a KFC. BOOOOO. In my defence, Mother's Day sucks. Hoping I haven't undone too much work and will get back on it tomorrow. Also have a long walk planned tomorrow which will help.

Rodedooda · 31/03/2022 08:27

What exercise are people getting in and when?

I try and get 12k steps, some fasted, some not. Some days fall way short.

I'm also a fair weather occasional 3k runner. Mostly weekends. Plus a weekly weights class in the evening.

I also enjoy swimming but haven't been in a few weeks.

I need to up my general fitness, and add in more resistance stuff but not sure when to do it.

Plump82 · 31/03/2022 08:47

I'm only walking. But not every day and some days not over 10k steps.
