I've been having a salad for lunch, a small snack in the afternoon and soup for dinner.

Just looking for some interesting inspiration 👍

Oh, I wish I knew, but I love a Pot Noodle( > 500 calories)

Oneearringlost · 21/06/2021 17:19

Ps, I'd starve all day for a Pot Noodle!

JaninaDuszejko · 21/06/2021 17:21

200 calories is a snack not a meal (in which case an apple and a lump of cheese).

xyzandabc · 21/06/2021 17:26

200 calories is not a meal. It's a snack.

If you are doing 5:2 and sticking to 500 calories in a day, I've found it far more satisfying just having 1 meal a day, prob around 5/6pm and making it 500 cals than trying to pretend 200 cals is an evening meal. If I'm really hungry by 3 then have a 100 cal snack, leaving 400 for dinner which is still ok.

Tin of tuna, big salad, dollop of dressing.

3Britnee · 21/06/2021 17:45

Just found cauliflower buffalo wings on Instagram so that will be my next thing I try.

Tinned plum tomatos on toast?

NebulaStorm · 21/06/2021 17:48

2 egg omelette with onion and spinach, mushrooms or what ever?

3Britnee · 21/06/2021 17:57

These are the sort of things I've been eating for 200 calories. So you absolutely can have a meal for 200c.

bonfireheart · 21/06/2021 18:00

@3Britnee do you have the recipe for the first pic please? Looks delicious 😋

PseuDenim · 21/06/2021 18:01

I thought the tuna and avocado alone in the second picture would add up to more than 200cals?

It was a small avocado, I bought 2 and the most a bit on my plate weighed was 50g. The tuna here comes in 51g tins. The mayo is measured with one of those quantity measures (tablespoon)

2 of those birdseye steamer bags of vegetables, a bit of maggi liquid seasoning and a dollop of tescos wicked kitchen smoked beetroot pesto.

I could live on that and I doubt thats more than 200 cals

Brown chicken thighs. Remove from pan.
Fry onions.
Add garlic, ginger, chilli.
Add turmeric, dried thyme, basil, oregano, coriander, s&p.
Add tinned mushrooms.
Add chicken back in.
Add water.
Add stock cubes & bay leaves.
Add hot sauce.
Add frozen broccoli, cauliflower, cube of spinach.
Let cook.

When serving put chopped fresh mushrooms and beansprouts in a bowl. Add soup. Microwave. That's for days it's from the fridge. On the day its cooked, microwave fresh mushrooms & beansprouts. Add to bowl then add soup.

When ready, add chopped coriander, spring onion and chilli.

It is 👌👌👌
