The day after my first day of fasting...

I started the 5:2 diet and yesterday was my first day of fasting, I managed better than I thought I would so really pleased.
However, I went to bed last night thinking of all the foods I wanted to eat today (because by that point I was really hungry!) but I've woken up today with absolutely no appetite whatsoever!!
Has anyone else experienced this?

Completely normal. It's one of the better side effects of 5:2 - your stomach has shrunk in the night. You think you want to stuff your face teh next day... then you just don't fancy it.

The magic does wear off I'm afraid - when you start eating you'll get hungry like normal Wink

kerry85 I'm often reluctant to eat after a fast - firstly because I just don't feel like I need anything - and secondly because, as WhatHo said, once you start to eat, you get hungry again quite quickly afterwards, and then you have to reset the hunger switch.
