Thank you for your message!
To be honest with you my consultant (endocrinologist/gynaecologist) has been a nightmare over the last 10 years! I get bloods every 6 months when I attend his clinic but never get the result till my next appointment so they are 6 months late if that makes sense? All I know that's consistent is ;
Lutenizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
They are consistently coming back pretty low which lead him to believe I either was not ovulating and that's why I haven't been getting periods for months at a time and if I was ovulating apparently it would be really poor quality!
Testosterone was coming back super high apparently that's to be expected with pcos
Prolactin : this was 4 times higher than what it should have been, it took 2 years of fighting b it was diagnose with a pituitary tumour (micro adenoma which is benign) I was on quinagolide for 4 years and had a follow up mri 4/5 years ago and it had shrunk so was taken fully of the medication. Now my prolactin levelled our but more recently it seems to be lower than the minimum ranges. He gave no suggestion why or how to fix it?
I have never had results told to me regarding
DHEA-S / Androstenedione (ANDRO) / Progesterone / Oestrogen / TSH / Insulin and Glucose so I'm clueless about those levels etc!
Any time I have been pregnant I have been declined medication to help!
I was told to get aspirin by midwife she sent note to gp to give me a prescription for it and it was declined .... I'm not given progesterone ...... no more frequent monitoring/scans ...... nothing to at least try give me a fighting chance!
I have been declined any medical assistance to conceive ( clomifene / Metformin / iui / ivf ) all because I don't meet guidelines for iui / ivf so they legally can't give me anything to help me conceive naturally either as it's stulll classed as assistance and against the guidelines! It's totally heartbreaking
I have never even been offered to go to the reoccurring miscarriage clinic after 4 losses, they just tell me I am already being seen at the fertility & endocrine clinic so they will do the test etc involved!
I have had 16 positive tests so far, I actually stopped testing mainly as I ran out of tests on the 6th September and I kind of don't want to keep testing I know if it's going to go wrong it will so I almost am reluctant to spent huge amounts of money buying loads of tests for a shit outcome (please excuse my swearing) still battling the gp with covid restrictions you get bloods to check on things and be able to take it from there!
