Anyone have a Polar heart rate monitor watch thingy?

If so, any ideas where to get a new battery? Mine has died and I can't find a proper Polar replacement.

TIA for any suggestions (I live in bristol, but happy to post it if I need to.)

DH has one of these watches and replaced his battery recently but you don't need to buy a special Polar one. I just went to the local jewellers and quoted the number (which I think was on the battery itself) and job done for the grand total of about £3 I think. Watch is working fine ....

Yes any jeweller or watch place can do it. They are actually generic, not special batteries.

Thanks for the replies, perhaps I was just unlucky before, I replaced the battery a while back with a generic and it only lasted a month. I'll give it another go in case it was a duffer.
