Blisters with new trainers

I got new Asics 2150 last week and ran 10 miles on Monday - I know - how stupid. I now have blisters on each arch and have them covered with compeed plasters. How long before I should attempt a run again. I have a half marathon in 2 weeks.......

Lots of short runs to break them in is best. I would get out as soon as you can face it as your blisters should be getting better now. Make sure you only wear Compeed when running and not all the time. With a half marathon in a fortnight you will be tapering now anyway so only on your feet for short periods. Good luck with the race!

Thanks Moshi, ran yesterday with the plasters still on - it said to let them fall of themselves but I pulled the off after the shower. The blisters are still there but like you say I won't be running much this week so hopefully all will go ok. Bit nervous - this is my first half marathon but I'm looking forward to it too.
