Waterproof Ipod case - anyone used one?

Hi there

I am a swimmer and am getting jolly bored ploughing up and down with just my thoughts for company.

I have looked into the idea of getting a waterproof Ipod and have seen cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140328772129&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT this on Ebay instead. Has anyone used one? Does it keep the Ipod safe and dry? I am rather nervous about ruining my Ipod in the water and having to rebuy and sort out all the music again, but for less than a tenner, this seems too good to be true.

If you have a waterproof radio / MP3 player, which one is it and would you recommend it?

Many thanks

would it be worth getting a cheap mp3 player to go in it so that you don't ruin your ipod?
I saw a woman swimming with an mp3 player but think it was one designed to go in the water.
We used to use a similar thing for our radios when I was a lifeguard and I think they kept the water out although I never tested this personally!!

I bought this one for DH for his birthday this year. He loves it. Makes his daily swim much more fun!

He did say that when he listens to it on dry land, it sounds distorted, but underwater, it sorts itself out.

Thanks.

To be honest, I am much happier about the idea of gettting a cheap MP3 player than risking my ipod. I'll look into the one your husbnad is using, Maureen.

Thanks again
