Martial Arts - which one?

Ds,8, is dying to start learing a martial art (too much Power Rangers etc. at an early age!).

Has anyone got any tips on how to choose which one - Judo, Karate, TaiKwondo etc.-might be the most appropriate? Don't really want to do a taster session in all the local clubs as there are so many to choose from.

Generally speaking,ds is very strong, fit (from regular rugby/swimming)quite tall & stocky for his age, seems to have good co-ordination & lots of energy. On the downside, he has a temper and needs to learn to calm down and have a bit of self-control, particularly where older brother is concerned

Any suggestions welcomed!

Ds does Taekwondo and really enjoys it. The sensei will not allow any aggressive behaviour in class. I heard him tell one parent that he particularly recommends it for children with aggression problems as they learn self discipline. I expect this is the case for most martial arts.
