Will pilates alone tone me up?

I have not been to the gym reagulary for nearly a year. I am feeling lazy and do not want to rush into exercise and put myself off again.

I have lost weight recently so I only need to tone up, and do not feel I need to loose weight (apart from my hips).

Do you think pilates alone will be enough to tone my wobbly bits? If so how often will I need to go?

I should have thought so, especially if you do the exercises at home in between classes.

I think it depends on how rigorous the class is. Are you faffing around with mats in a large class, or working out with machines under close supervision?

I don't think so unless you have found that type of dancer's physique/toning pretty easy to achieve in the past. I'd combine with some cardio work and I would say pilates three times a week. But, I suppose, it depends how toned you want to be/what your expectations are. Also, agree with Friday's post - classes vary HUGELY.

Probably not. Maybe add in the odd weights and aerobic class. You need to vary it a bit to really make a difference.
