Does anyone cycle with vision in only right eye?

Took me ages to find this topic. Lol at it being under the 'Fun and Games section'!

I have a fantasy of cycling to work. However, this will involve roads. As I only have vision in my left eye this makes it difficult to look for traffic when turning right/overtaking parked cars etc (Not such a problem in right side driving countries). It means I have to turn my whole head around to look with my left eye.

Have tried a mirror on the handlebars but that didn't work. Really want to get out and about on my bike but feeling nervous about whether it is safe. Has anyone else managed it sucessfully?

btw I did cycle 20 years ago with same situation but not extensively.

Have you tryed the CTC for information on this - as they are a hugh cycling club I would think they may possibly have members who have only sight in one eye that may be able to make suggestions to aid you
