Not biscuits no. Nice bread. And wine.

I eat a fair amount of chocolate and sweets and dried figs and dates before and during excercise, because I need the instant energy boosts.

aWitchForLifeNotJustHalloween · 18/10/2009 22:44

Chocolate essential.
IMHO I need the energy

overmydeadbody · 18/10/2009 22:44

and I feel I deserve nice wine too

x-post omd - same sentiment

jemart · 18/10/2009 22:46

Chocolate all the way.

thelunar66 · 18/10/2009 22:46

Rarely eat biscuits. Wine is my sin.

low calorie diets are for people who don't excercise.

Obviouslyt as well as the sweets and chocolat and wine I eat lots of fruit and veg as well.

I'm a chocolate and biscuits lady. Obviously the calories are fine - they all get burned off and I'm happy with my weight (which is the same age 39 as it was aged 19). but I worry a bit about the cholesterol etc. I also eat butter and not the olive oil or sunflower equivalents. dh and I are the same - we both work from home and after lunch we need a biscuit with our cup of tea. recently we decided to try to cut it down a bit - mainly because it was rubbing off on dds who expected biscuits all the time. I'm just torn. love my biscuits but don't want dh or I to keel over and have a heart attack in 20 years' time...

I go with the theory that I can eat more biscuits because I exercise a lot. I also recognise that I am not the weight I want to be because of the biscuits, and that I would be a lot lighter if I ate salads post-gym rather than hobnobs. But I reckon I'd also be much more miserable. I justify it on the grounds that I'd probably eat biscuits even if I wasn't doing all that exercise - the chances of me going for a purely diet-based weight loss plan is minimal. Or something.

sweets are my craving

nappyzonecantrunfortoffee · 04/11/2009 18:57

im more savoury - i ran last night and felt no guilt when i had a large sneaky 11am scotch egg.

I spent two hours in the gym today and through this afternoon have eaten a whole tub of chocolate cornflake cakes - exercise makes me so hungry! But I'm not overweight, I generally eat pretty healthily and don't drink much these days.

I don't exercise to stay slim, I exercise because I enjoy it and it improves my stamina and strength. But it does mean that I don't have to watch what I eat as much as I think many people do as they get older.
