Fitflops - Any good?

I had my baby 6 weeks ago and I am thinking of purchasing a pair of these to wear when out with the buggy etc. just for a little extra help until I can get back into exercise fully again. Just wondered if anyone has used them and if the claims of helping tone your bum and legs is true?

i have tried them on. they fit very tightly to your foot, i have a high instep so needed to get two sizes bigger and they went on for about a mile beyond my toes. i think they are a con anyway.

are your feet pre-pg size?

Thanks for the info!

I did wonder if they were too good to be true! Was just considering as I wear flip flops a lot anyway, and if there are some that can tone my bum, then I'd give them a bash!! My feet are pretty much pre-preg size (now that the awful water retention has gone!).

A few of my friends have them. You have to buy the size larger than you normally would. I have no idea if they work but are very comfy.

Hmm, if comfy, then might try them anyway!! Thanks for the sizing tips!

They are really comfy - like walking on air but I don't reckon they do much for your bum and legs but I do quite a bit of walking anyway.
I am always a size 6 unless a shoe is very narrow in which case I would buy a 7 (for width only) and a 6 is absolutely fine for me, infact I found that they stretched a bit so I definitely wouldn't buy a bigger size than I needed. My original pair did come apart at the thong after 3 months but I've returned them and got free replacements.

I heart my fit flops. Bought my first pair last summer and bought a second pair this summer (the light coloured sole got a bit grubby, so I got a dark sole this time. They are very very comfy. I bought my usual size because the next size up was too big. But despite wearing them all the time, I still have a saggy bum and un-toned thighs!

Agree they are really comfy. I didn't have any problem with my normal size either. I walk a lot and wear mine all the time.

Thanks Ladies! Think I'll have to go and try some on, then, see how they feel!

I have these ones in black.

They are so comfortable and having sequins I have worn them in situations that flip flops wouldn't necessarily be suitable. (wore them for dancing at a wedding, when heels were hurting!)

Oh and my normal size is fine - even during my last pregnancy.

Oooooo, I like those, Theprettieststar!!

you need to do a search on mn - there are lots of threads on fitflops - and they all pretty much say the same thing - fitflops are massively comfortable and worth the price for that alone ( I wear mine constantly until it just gets too cold), however they dont tone up your legs. Mine are in my normal size - a 7.
