Should I not run if I have a cough?

I've had a sore throat and dry cough for two weeks now, but carried on going to my running club twice a week and doing a longer run on Sundays.

In the last couple of days my cough has gone from dry to wet - coughing up green stuff in the mornings. I'm also not getting much sleep due to fits of coughing waking me up. It is a very tickly cough.

Should I still go to running club tonight?? - we are talking about 6 miles, but not pushing too hard.

I don't really want to sit at home like an invalid if I can help it coz I'm really trying to get my fitness back after a calf injury.

don't run if you are even a little bit unwell. if you do you'll get more sick and miss more runs. give yourself a few days to get over it.
long runs especially impact on your immune system.

just take a break. your body is trying to tell you something
