I'm starting a pilates beginners course this week, just wondering if there's anything I should/shouldn't do before or after?

And what should I wear? Will I get too hot in trackies & a vest? You don't have to wear shorts or leotards do you?

Really looking forward to it

I atarted this week as well. Most people were in pretty bog standard gym wear.As long as its not too baggy (the teacher needs to check on your poses/alignment) You don't get sweaty so you should be fine in trackies and a vest.

[shudder] at shorts and leotards

How are you finding it?

My colleague terrified me this morning when she announced that everyone will queef during a pilates lesson

I've been twice. i loved it. You really do have to concentrate, so TBH I didn't even notice anyone in the room until afterwards. Be prepared to ache for a couple of days afterwards (I do regular gym workouts .. but bloody well my stomach afterwards was sore!)

arf at queef

I do aerobics regularly, but just still feel a bit wobbly round the middle. Tried a pilates class aaaages ago but I never got the jist of the breathing and engaging core muscles malarky, hence booking on this course to learn it properly.
