We want to buy our 5 year old twin boys new bikes in the sales - any recommendations of where to shop? Would be prepared to spend up to £50 each.

Many thanks

Bumping for you.

to be honest you're not going to get anything decent for that budget - you'll get what cyclists call "bike-shaped-objects" i.e. they'll have wheels and probably loads of unneccessary gears but they'll be horribly heavy and poor quality

you'd be better off trying to get good second-hand bikes - both trek and specialised do good ones - but the best children's bikes we've come across so far are isla bikes - they're much lighter, perfectly proportioned and a joy to ride

Thanks for that - very helpful
