I haven't used one personally, but I have a friend who does!!

She swears by them - particularly in situations where you have very little time to get back in shape (after the birth of a child for example). She says the money is worth it because they tone you up in half the time of other methods (going to the gym regularly for example). It's a bit of a strange sensation apparently, but the results are v. effective; my friend looks fantastic!!

they are really hard to use to tone up. i use the one at my gym to stretch after excercise and that is brilliant, no aching the next day. but i have tried to do toning excercise and i nearly keeled over. not an easy way out at all. but fab for stretching which is prob not what your after

i had one delivered today from amazon
type in power toner and it has good reviews..

I havent put it together yet, as i am hungover

KT1983 · 02/11/2008 10:51

Im very sceptical about them - Im a personal trainer & believe that it is perhaps another want to be quick fix - we have one at work which i use for stretching and massaging the mussles, which is great - but as for toning....still very undecided.
You cant beat cardio & resistance workouts really.

BoffinMum · 02/11/2008 10:53

KT1983, can you use these things when you're pregnant?

bongosmum · 03/11/2008 11:31

sorry, just looked at this thread...the thing is, i am totally unmotivated at the moment and have a vision of vibrating my way to a toned physique...i did use those toning tables years ago and they did seem to make a difference - i thought it maybe similar. cheekysealion, have you assembled yours yet?

I use one (at the gym)its quite fun and makes no nose wobble oddly but its not magic instant wow what a difference... I don't think just that will tone you up (Also do CV work plus light weights and swim once a week)

KT1983 · 06/11/2008 09:23

Its not on the list of contraindications - and as I am pregnant myself - I dont use it... (just in case)
Im not sure my baby would like all the vibrations

MadCat1980 · 07/12/2009 17:32

Anyone know if it is safe to use while breast feeding?
