EMS machine for diastasis recti

Anyone tried an EMS machine (home use, like a TENS, not those crazy full-body things they ahve in some gyms) for building back abs after diastasis recti? Or just generally for abs (or arms??)? I'm tempted to get one but suspect it will be pointless.

It really depends on the severity of yours. But my experience is that on its own it’s not enough. But mine was quite severe. Have you been assessed?

yeah - it's not too severe according to the physio. (Although it seems severe to me!)

I don’t see how it would work OP, you need to work on your deep core not the abs and those devices mainly work surface level muscles, don’t they? I’ve got serious abs and still have 1 finger width of DR (down from two finger widths, now). I am doing a lot of dead bugs but you need advice on doing them properly to avoid your belly doming as that can make it worse.

Where best to find exercises for DR ?
Without going through the GP

I don't believe they work at all for diastasis recti. Katrina Oakley and many others have a great rehab program free on YouTube.
