Gym leggings that are not see through and are high waisted and don’t fall down?

Can people please recommend gym leggings, as above I like ones that are high waisted do that if my T-shirt rides up I am not flashing my belly, and squat proof, I used to like fabletics but the recent ones I have bought just aren’t the same as my old old ones.

Another vote for Sweaty Betty Power leggings. They are adjustable at the waste and don’t roll
down. The only slight downside is if you are doing anything mat based, the zip In the back waist pocket digs in a bit. I have some of their everyday leggings that are soft and good for when you lie
on your back. I have never paid full price for a pair. They often have sales. The only full price pair I have were a birthday present 😆

eta I have some Adanolas of which I love the colour and fit, but they roll down when doing yoga or Pilates. Fine for the gym though

Avalanche high waisted from TK Maxx

Tala are fab too!

Sweaty Betty don't stay up on me. Think it is because I have a long waist and solid thighs. Just something to be aware of.

Halara work better. Not quite as thick as Sweaty Betty but nice and soft and not see through.

jpclarke · 15/04/2026 23:07

New dimensions are my favourite ones.

Edited

I find they don't stay up on me either. I ended up giving mine to my DSD.

I’m not keen on the SB leggings either. Always feel like they are falling down. Tala skin luxe are my absolute fav.

Latenightreader · 15/04/2026 23:53

I have to confess that my first and only pair came from Lidl and are fab - they fit well, don't ride up or fall down and are comfortable. I'm surprised and pleased!

I have a huge amount of workout clothes and the best leggings are from Bara Sportswear. Bit pricey but quality is excellent.

CocoaTea · 16/04/2026 06:21

I got the best high waisted ones from M&S.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 16/04/2026 06:23

Sweaty Betty power leggings are my favourites. I buy on vinted.

Sweaty Betty. Worth the money.

I strongly disagree. I only buy in the sale because they are no better than ones I’ve had from Uniqlo for a quarter of the price.

best ones I’ve had are Uniqlo and, weirdly, Sainsbury’s and Primark.

EspanaPorfavor · 16/04/2026 06:48

I like SB power but also Oysho compression leggings which are just as good and half the price

GentlemenPreferBonds · 16/04/2026 07:31

Sainsbury’s Reactiv are the best I’ve had.

Doctor1988 · 16/04/2026 07:32

Sweaty Betty and Lululemon are my favourite. Alo for short shorts

ItsStillWork · 16/04/2026 07:35

Everytime I wear sweaty Betty ones whether they’re brand new or worn before, I get thrush.

newbie202020 · 16/04/2026 07:48

I always find H&M ones are great - much better than Lululemon, Sweaty Beaty etc. Washed a million times and still going strong

Fabletics are rubbish now aren't they. The new ones last about two washes before the seam come loose. My older ones from there (when Kate Hudson launched it in the UK) are still holding strong. I hate it when brands change.

I've recently discovered LNDR - their leggings look tiny when you get them but they do not budge an inch. Expensive though.

Interested in the MyProtein leggings @Didyousaynutella. Are they compression/ firm hold type ones?

There is a huge range. Not sure about compression. I like the ones that are a ribbed material. I bought loads of different ones two years back and they are still going strong and regularly worn both at the gym and casually.

AmIReallyTheGrownup · 22/04/2026 06:57

Sweaty Betty have changed the cut & quality of the power leggings so they’re now rubbish. I got a new pair last month for the first time in 18 months.

I’m short waisted and they now finish well below my belly button & they roll down constantly. They’re also no longer squat proof nor advertised as such.

Iamthemoom · 22/04/2026 06:59

I love the Gap ones. They’re really soft and comfy too.
