What lifting supplements are we taking?

I’ve been lifting for about 5 years and I only take protein and creatine. I’m interested in trying some supplements but it seems like they go through trends, so not sure what’s worth taking Vs what’s popular right now.

I took testosterone for a while for low libido and my muscles looked great! But my blood levels got too high so I stopped. I’m wondering if anything else will help me get the same pump without too many side effects. I’m 35 and my blood hormone levels are all normal but seem to have a few peri symptoms in case that makes any difference

Are you sure you're having peri symptoms at 35? Which are they?
Also, which doctor gave you testosterone?

No to be honest but I asked on MN because my test results (thyroid, vits and mins, hormones, liver & kidney function etc.) were fine and it’s what people suggested based on my age. It’s things like hot all the time but especially at night, hair texture changes and breakage, heavier periods. The only test that wasn’t normal was iron levels so I am hoping it’s actually just that. I only mentioned it in the OP as it seems like some supplements can change hormones which I’m not sure I want/need.
The testosterone was a private doctor service, they didn’t ask for an initial blood test which I now realise they probably should have done

I wouldn't go by MN advice. Heavy periods can be peri, but you also need to investigate exactly why. You need an ultrasound/vaginal ultrasound and a proper blood test.

You probably need to see a GP, and taking supplements may mask symptoms which should be investigated. So maybe do that first?

I use pre workout which has creatine in, plus magnezium with zinc (which is supposed to help muscle recovery) lions mane and fish oil. And protein immediately after the gym.
Would be interested in what other supplements are effective?

Oh I did see my GP, she’s the one who organised the blood tests and because they came back fine I don’t think there will be any investigations, she seemed unbothered. I am not that worried about my symptoms I just want to be stronger

I generally put two 5mg scoops of creatine in my morning herbal tea (I drink about a litre of tea after my coffee).

I'm thinking of adding in collagen to my supplements.
