Teen/ young adult period swim products

Hi has anyone brought any swim period bikinis? If so where do you recommend? Sites I have been looking at only sell the bottom half’s so will then need to find a top to match? Are they a nightmare to use on holiday with having to clean after each use?only need them just in case DD has her period on holiday as still all over the place at the moment.

DD is a swimmer so very experienced in this arena! Wuka do the best period bikini pants hands-down. I just buy black ones and she mix and matches with any bikini top. They’re not a nightmare to clean you just was them out at the end of the day. I would recommend having several pairs that you can rotate.

Both my DDs have the wuka bikini bottoms too.
They actually feel more comfortable wearing them under a normal swimsuit so they do that, but they would go with any top really if you get the plain black ones.
They mainly wear them for swimming lessons and they’re great. We just chuck them in the wash after.
For a whole day by the pool you might want two pairs and change half way depending how heavy their period is, for washing they can just rinse in the shower and they’d be dry overnight

If it is for a holiday you can also talk to your GP about getting a prescription to stop you bleeding for a week. Not sure if it’s suitable for all ages because I only found out about it age 49 but seriously no need for a teenage girl to deal with bleeding on holiday. It’s unnecessary and avoidable.

they should be able to prescribe something even just in case for her to take with her and only take if she starts bleeding mid holiday too.

but period swimwear is also a really good option.
