Hyrox with the hubby / a partner

Has anyone done a Hyrox race with their husband / partner? My husband and I are thinking of entering one together and hoping that training together might give us some 'us' time back and make more effort prioritising each other. Has anyone done this with a partner and what was your experience?

I’m working up to it. My DH already does them solo so just(!) need me to get my running back up after an Achilles issue.

Local gyms should offer some sims if you want to give those an initial go.

Just be aware as a mixed pair - you’ll have to do men’s open/women’s pro weights.

If you’re new to these types of things a relay is a good option as you don’t have to do all the running like you do when in a pair.

I’m doing a deadly dozen sim later this year and looking at athx for next year. Might have to go for the lite option though as I can’t do 12.5kg weighted lunges. I’ve only just been able to start doing body weight lunges.

It’s addictive!

I’ve done turf with my oh as part of a team of 6. It was great!

Not heard of that one. Looks fun. A bit more technical with rope climbs. I can’t do those!

I did a deadly dozen with a friend, it was hard but really fun!

Ah, not in our ‘everyday’ category. I can’t do them either!
