Belly flab slapping when running

As per the title 😳

Weight loss has caused loose skin and and belly apron. I'm now at a stage with my running that I need to up my pace but when I do, the slapping gets louder and it echoes as I run around my sleepy, quiet village.

I really can't embrace the clapping and slapping as I slog my way round. It gets better/almost non-existent once I've worked up a sweat, so I'm wondering if those anti-chafing sticks would work? Or any other tips that dont include compression clothing?

Well done on the weight loss - I'd definitely try some running shorts with some support. You are going to be sore I'd think if you carried on.

I would get something maternity leggings. I love the Nike nes and still wear them post baby. They’re high waisted but then not compression or too tight on your belly, so you feel supported but not at all constricted

What are you wearing? A decent pair of leggings should hold everything in!

I wear leggings that have some compression and feel like they should keep everything tightly in place, but clearly not.

Is it worth trying a dedicated pair? I feel like they won't work, my overhang is too great to be contained 😂

Snug fitting vest top tucked in the leggings? I've got one with elastane in that does a good job under clothes...

A high waisted pair of thicker leggings designed for running (not gym) should help.

Is there a reason you don’t want to wear compression? I wear compression leggings to run in and they’re amazing. Plus they hold my apron belly nice and firmly!!

When I was pregnant I had a stretchy belly band, something like that might be good?
