Just signed up to walk a marathon!

I have just signed up to do the Moonwalk next May (walking a marathon overnight in London).
Does anyone have any training tips or advice? I currently run 3-4 times a week and get out walking every day but this is going to take me far out of my comfort zone!

The Moonwalk do a training plan, which is very good. You will be sent the details nearer the time but you can access the plan on their website. They also give lots of good advice on preparing for the event, kit, etc.

I did Moonwalk Edinburgh about 15 years ago and it remains one of the best achievements of my life.

you need to walk everywhere! I'd use a training plan to build your long walk miles up in the same way you would a marathon. Bear in mind too that it's overnight when your body will naturally want to be going to bed so maybe try and aim for some evening or early morning sessions too as everyone I know who's done it said that was the hardest bit.
Also, please wear a decent sports bra and not the ones they provide, no one should be walking 26 miles in an underwired bra!
And you'll need to think about fuelling. For running a marathon I think you're fine on sweets and gels but walking is going to take you almost twice as long so I'd include solid food. My preference is to eat little bits along the way so nothing sits heavy on my stomach.
