Have you done a programme to increase max pull ups?

Looking to hear people's experiences of following a programme to increase number of reps and potentially increase weight added.
Anybody found success?
Any programme recommendations or things to avoid?
I'm not sure what my current max is as I normally train pull ups at the end of my workouts. But today I did 4 sets of 5 reps at the end of a workout and was very tired before starting so I think maybe a fresh max might be 7ish.

Impressive. I can't do any pull-ups as I'm not strong enough to lift my current body weight (aka I'm fat!🤣😭)

Getting your arms as strong as possible and your back so lateral pulldowns are important but I realise I'm probably trying to tell you things I already know so I'll bow out now. Once I get my bodyweight down I'll try and aim for one pull up and report back!

Well done @Musicaltheatremum.
You can totally get there. I think there's lots of advice on getting your first pull up out there. Rows are good if you aren't quite ready to start working with your bodyweight as are bands over bar to decrease weight.
