Hello!
I am trying to get back in to a regular gym and walking routine, however I'm really struggling to find any trainers to fit my very wide feet (one of which I also have a bunion on, because 2025 has really been a true gift of a year 😅) Any recommendations will be really gratefully received!

Thanks everyone! xx

These ones come in Extra Wide fit and are supportive Black Croc | Women’s Bestselling Active Trainer | Leanne II Trainers | Hotter UK

Could you try men's shoes as they tend to be wider than women's?

I realise this might not be practical if you need a small size.

ETA: You can filter for width on Sportsshoes.com

Altra or topo trainers have a wide toe box as I need this also for a sore big toe

Solange23 · 29/05/2025 18:41

Google Wide Fit Shoes. They have extra wide Nike, New Balance & Skechers. I have 2 x New Balance and they are fantastic.

If you Google "trainers for bunions" there are lots of options for Opthopedic wide fit trainers 🙂

I have a pair of Hoka Bondi 8, they’re very roomy.

RebeccaRedhat · 29/05/2025 20:12

I swear by Asics trainers for the gym and running. I lost alot of weight a few years ago wearing skechers to walk in, and when they needed replaced and I wanted to run i went with asics. 2 years on and the shoes are srill in perfect condition and I csmt run in anything else x

dementedpixie · 29/05/2025 20:16

I also like asics trainers and need a wide fit

Look at barefoot shoe brands. Vivobarefoot are the most well known but expensive. Saguaro and ZZ Faber are cheap but decent and lovely wide toe box.

if you need more padding, altra lone peak have a wide square toe box but aren’t barefoot.

Regular brands which are “wide fit” tend to be wide in the mid foot but still come to a narrow toe, which is not good for bunions.

I've got these in a couple of colours.

Another recommendation for Saguaro!

Moochine · 31/05/2025 12:42

Fitville are probably the widest available in the market! Go up to a EEEEE I believe!

Londonmummy66 · 31/05/2025 13:12

New Balance do an extra wide fit (but the colours are dire)
