Exercise plan help needed

I need some help working out the best way to structure my week with exercise as I’m confusing myself!

i currently run 3 times a week(7-10k) each time and do Pilates once a week. I’ve just signed up for a weekly PT session - I’d love to go more often but haven’t got the time or money)

Does this sound enough and the right types of exercise? I’m considering dropping one of my runs as I’m worried I’m going to find it too much as I’m working very long hours

Sounds great? Why did you sign up to PT if it’s stretching you so much? Do you have any goals in mind?

If you've signed up to PT they should help give you a workout program that works for you.

NHS physical activity guidelines there.

Assuming you walk and are reasonably active, then you are doing plenty of cardio with the runs so yes, if you are short of time I would drop one of them and if you want and can build some extra brisk walking in eg to get to places (that's often easier to fit in than running).

Strength training (which Pilates is and I assume your PT will be - if so you have ticked the NHS box) is very important - I would try to add a bit more in of that if you can to make more progress and stay injury-free for your running. It sounds like you are not a gym member but you could do some bodyweight exercises at home or in a park - perhaps start a new thread for recommendations for a programme for that if that's what you want? Or do an extra Pilates class at home - Lottie Murphy is good.

It does depend what you want and what suits you though. And what makes you happy 😀.
