Are walking / folding treadmills any good?

Trying to get myself moving again after a long break and severely lacking in motivation - are these walking / folding treadmills any good for the house? I know the benefits of getting outside etc, but just keen to get an opinion on treadmills. Thanks!

I love mine. I do a minimum of 100km on it every month. I choose it because it has a top speed of 12 km as I use mine for running. I opted for it as it was at the lower end of the price scale, and as a previous non runner I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it. I used the c25k nhs version to get moving. Mine has the simple controls and kill switch/clip on the handle bar which can fold down out of the way easily if requires for storage.
Amazon have several which you can compare and often seem to have sales.

I also have a folding one which I use for running whrn the weather is too bad outside. (Don't mind rain, but draw the line at ice/snow!).

If I was WFH more, I would definitely have a walking one and use it with a standing desk. I know a few people with these, and they really rate them. Easy way to rack up some miles.

I'm interested in this - could you share the brands @Alphabet1spaghetti2 and @Dreamingofsunnyskies ?

I tend to be sitting down for 10 hours a day at my desk, - a walking pad could turn a few of those hours into steps!

This will be a great thread for me as mine had to be scrapped and I want one that can live under the bed in between use.

If you get one I'd say to make sure you get one with a folding hand rail too. I have one without and you can feel quite unsteady on it without being able to hold on to or grab anything if needed.
