Daily yoga for arthritis

I’m mid 40s and have arthritis in my back and hips. I’m would like to start a daily yoga routine to help with the pain. Can anyone recommend a YouTube workout please? Or any other sort of exercise that helps? I’m starting to accept that running isn’t helping me.

My strongest recommendation would be to have some 121 instruction. The difference between using the right and the wrong muscles in yoga as in anything cannot easily been seen and really needs attention in order to get the benefit from yoga (or any other movement).

Hope you find what you need.

Have you done yoga before?

I like Sara Beth yoga. She people like Adreienne but I think she waffles too much and it annoys me.

The best things I've found is an app called Down Dog Yoga. It's £30 a year but you can input how long you want the session to be, what type of music, what area of your body you want to focus on (or none), the voice used, the style of yoga etc etc and press a button and it instantly creates you a routine. So you cam do something different every day and eg do 15 minutes one day and 30 minutes another day. I also love that you can choose the voice as I find some people's voices so irritating!!

I do yoga at the gym but still use the Down Dog app at home as its so convenient.

That should say SOME people like Adreienne.

I’ve been to Pilates classes previously and done yoga at home on and off, but looking to start a regular routine I can do at home in the mornings. Unfortunately a class won’t really work at the moment around work and childcare.

I’ve also tried Adrienne and didn’t get on with her style. Thanks for the tip about the app - not heard of that one before.
