Recommendations for a quick workout

Now my kids are both in school I want to start an exercise routine to make me feel better about myself.
I'm wanting to feel fitter, stronger, and a little more toned if possible.

I'm a single parent so the only time I have to do this is for 30 mins in a morning before work and one day at the weekend.

I do have some 3kg dumbbells as well.

Could anyone recommend a good YouTube work out please that would make a difference

Growingannanas

Classic tabatta - 8 times 20seconds high intensity work, 10seconds recovery. Write a load of exercises on bits of paper or lolly sticks and play "lucky dip" to choose your moves, you can alternate 2 moves in the same set.

Caroline Girvan. She has lots of videos under 30 mins on you tube.

Caroline Girvan is the absolute best, but she requires commitment and proper weights. Certainly a trainer to aspire to, but I think if the OP only has 3kg weights and time for 2 short workouts per week she'll need to start with someone less challenging - like Growingannanas or Heather Robertson.

I particularly recommend Growingannanas because she has workouts of varying intensity, both with dumbbells and without, and lasting anything from 12 to 45 minutes, including tabata. Her workouts are very professional and well structured.

@tizsha - here are a few short and easy workouts that target different areas. Maybe you can fit these in on some of the other days:

  • Lucy Wyndham Read: Thighs and Glutes
  • Rebecca Louise: Best Abs and Ageless Arms
  • Caroline Girvan: Braced Core and Abs
I would also strongly recommend doing a few stretches and a plank every day, e.g. Livinleggings for stretches and the Bowflex 3-minute plank.

Fitnessblender! Loads of great free workouts on their website. You can filter by length/equipment/training type.
