My first training session starts tomorrow...I have signed up to a charity boxing match, something i have always been interested in doing but never had the courage..now its my time! To say im nervous is an understatement but I cant wait to do something new and also raise for a charity close to my heart.

Although leaving my 2yr old with my DH to cope with the bedtime routine is defiantly giving me the boost to go! Cant wait to see how he copes haha 😀

My stamina and general fitness level isn't great tho..so would love any tips!

Keep you posted on my journey x

Good for you! And good luck.

You might want to repost with "training for charity boxing match" or something in the title. If you are doing training sessions for that, then they need to be the priority in terms of time, recovery etc. If they are intense and several times a week and include conditioning, then I would at most do some walking and Pilates, on top (assuming you are not already training like this). You will need to rest and let your body recover between sessions. Once you've had your first session you will know more.

I have been hoping to see someone else doing this! I have started my boxing training. My friends thought I was crazy for signing up for a boxing event to begin with.

I have been desperate to lose my mum tum but I struggle horrifically with getting in the right mindset to take action. It is giving me the big push I need. Finally I am making a step in the right direction with my fitness and health. I think the training has pushed me to my limits but nothing can top feeling so proud of myself!

My biggest tip would be don't give yourself the easy way out in the training sessions, the best way to improve is to truly test yourself.

Well done to us! And good luck.
