Playlists on Apple Watch

Can anyone help me, please? I promise I've googled this over and over but can't find an answer!
How do I put playlists on an iWatch? I've currently got two 15 year old playlists that originate from my ipod! because I can't see how to put music from Amazon music or Spotify on there. I thought an apple watch would mean I wouldn't have to strap my phone to my arm when out for a run!

I noticed that no one replied. I don’t think you can. I think you can use your watch to control those apps on your phone, but the music doesn’t originate from your watch if that makes sense.

i quite like a running belt which I store my phone in, as opposed to using a an arm strap.

You can have Apple Music playlists on the watch and not have to carry your phone. Can't remember how but that is what I do. Not sure how/if you can use anything other than Apple Music, though. I suspect not.
