Best running trainers

DD has joined an Athletics club and will be doing lots of sprinting etc. Can you please recommend some high quality running trainers. Thank you!

What works for one will not work for another. The great trainers are those that fit your feet. Summer will need a neutral shoe, others pronate and so on. She needs to go to a decent shop and try on shoes with knowledgeable staff so not JD sports etc. Preferably somewhere that does gait analysis.

Ask the club as they may have local places to suggest and may have discount agreements with them. Or see if there is a Start Fitness nearby.

For sprinting she will likely need spikes.

How old is DD? It really comes down to personal preference (Hoka Bondi 8 would cripple me!!) and if she's doing track sprints then spikes might be more appropriate than road running trainers. If she's still in kids sizes then the options for "proper" running shoes are more limited.

Can you take her for a gait analysis at a local running shop?
