I need a fold-up yoga mat

Going on a yoga course abroad, with hand luggage only. So, I need a comfy mat which will fold up into my suitcase or rucksack - needs to fold up widthways not just roll, as otherwise the width will be too great.

Any recommendations?

Unless anyone can tell me that normal rolled yoga mats are ok to take in hand luggage! I'm flying BA.
Thanks

I’ve never found a decent travel mat but I always take my yogi bare mat in a mat bag over my shoulder and travel hand luggage only with a case and another bag, and it’s always been fine. I’ve done this on ba, Ryanair, easyJet, wizz air, as well as little internal
Planes in Greece and Costa Rica. Never been a problem or even commented on so I’d do that x

Thank you, so you just take it and put it in an overhead locker?

I have a manduka travel mat. It's great. There are cheaper versions on Amazon.

The yoga towels with a gripper surface on the bottom which are used for hot yoga could work. Not much padding, but easy to fold up and pack.
