Can anyone recommend any decent gym leggings please, ideally with a pocket for phone? I've rejoined the gym & mine are threadbare on the arse 🙈😂

I love lululemon but not the cheapest.

sweatty betty have got power which has pockets as well

AuntieStella · 15/08/2024 14:58

Both Sweaty Betty and Lululemon are very expensive for the quality you get - I'm not saying they're crap, just that you can get that quality at a considerably lower price.

Decathlon is easily best VFM, with excellent performance (squat proof fabrics, lots of pockets, most styles have a drawstring)

Whereabouts do you want the pocket? If thigh, try the Uniqlo Airism ones

Do you want plainish colours, or bright/patterned? Full length or capri?

Fabletics. Sign up for the offer and then cancel. I've got pairs still going strong from lockdown and much cheaper than Lululemon and Sweaty Betty on offer.

No preference colour wise.
Pocket - prob thigh I guess, just for phone really.
Length - capri. Full length get too hot!

I swear by Sweaty Betty Power. You can get them cheap as chips on Vinted and Ebay

Alarae · 15/08/2024 15:02

I like the Goodmove leggings from M&S. can find them on Vinted easily too.

GoTigers · 15/08/2024 15:27

Born Nouli (via Insta).

Great quality, don’t droop, pocket on thigh, nice colours and very reasonably priced. Better quality than Swetty Betty IMHO.

DustyLee123 · 15/08/2024 15:28

I’ve never had a problem with Next gym wear

IfIHadAHeart · 15/08/2024 15:33

Sweaty Betty. There are always bargains in the clearance section of the website and I find the quality and fit to be excellent.

FriendofDorothy · 15/08/2024 15:34

Sturdy by Design are fab.

I asked this question around 2-3 years ago and was recommended M&S Goodmove and Sweaty Betty Powers. I bought both and considered them close to equal at the time on comfort, squat proof, washing.

Following 2.5 years use (of which the final 8 months are daily wear), the SB are in much better condition. I had to get rid of 2 of the M&S pairs for developing a hole and found them to be a bit too thick. I have since bought more SB in sales and continue to wear (and wash) them daily

KatharinaRosalie · 15/08/2024 15:38

Syrokan or CRZ Yoga on amazon are lululemon dupes.

DonnaGiovanna · 15/08/2024 15:38

I am sitting here in the Marks cafe with a new pair of good move capri length gym leggings in my back. Unfussy, breathable, affordable. I've given up on the shite pair I bought in the sports direct sale.

DonnaGiovanna · 15/08/2024 15:39

In my bag, not my back 😐

AuntieStella · 15/08/2024 17:06

OK, scrub Uniqlo (they do only shorts and full length)

You might like to try Tikiboo - not all are as bright as the first page, and both pockets and overall quality are excellent

How are the Sweaty Betty sizing? Do you need to size up or down or fairly true to size?

I have several Fabletics pairs that have lasted years. Bam are good, and I have a lovely patterned pair from Thought, but they are quite thin.

I am a size 6-8 in M&S (6 is bit snug on the hips and lower stomach) and comfortably wear XS SB powers and super sculpt

Limth · 16/08/2024 10:54

SB is pretty accurate on legging sizing but you can size down. I'm size 8. I wear SB XS leggings generally but have a few S and there isn't a huge difference.

Tops are a whole other story 😒

IfIHadAHeart · 16/08/2024 11:27

I’m a size 12 and wear a M in Sweaty Betty. I’m not very tall and find the 7/8ths length fit me as a full length legging, which is what they recommend buying.
