Any suggestions of a totally free fitness apps. Am almost 50 and need to tone up, get fit, lose weight, be able to get off sofa and go up stairs without being out of breath!!! Like the idea of short burst type programmes. Just needs to be all free.

Fiton is really good, we can get it on our smart TV, it's free and has a huge range of different fitness workouts of varying lengths.

Not an app but Caroline Girvon on YouTube is great.

Couch to 5 K. There's an NHS one and I think other ones top. The NHS one is free.

Loads of workouts for free on YouTube, eg FitSugar.

I use one called seven. It's seven minutes a day (feel free to do it more than once) HIT. You can choose easy, intermediate or difficult. The free version is the same workout everyday which is fine for me. I've got noticeably stronger since using it. I do it with light weights. Love it and have been recommending it to everyone. seven.app

Gymshark Training app is free. Has featured workouts, general workouts, full fitness plans which can be tailored to how many days etc. You can also tell it what equipment you have available and what you want to achieve. You can even just do own bodyweight workouts with no equipment.

I dont use anything else and have been using it for last 3 years.

I'm trying the fitness blender 2 week program at the moment, liking it so far (the right amount of talking and no irritating music). They've got lots of free workout videos but only a couple of free programs so I'm looking for ideas too (63, don't want more than about half an hour at a time)

Not completely free but Deliciously Ella is about £25 for the year, and has lots of different exercise programmes as well as recipes.

You could also work your way through lots of free trials! Lots give you 7 days free, and some give you 14.

Plenty of good stuff on Youtube or Instagram as well. I like https://www.instagram.com/fitfionaj/
