I had to defer this year due to injury so already very excited for 2025. Good luck everyone who entered the ballot!

mangobe · 26/06/2024 10:06

Got mine and it's a no, unsurprisingly 😂

xsquared · 26/06/2024 11:02

Good luck everyone!

HoppyHat · 26/06/2024 11:31

No here too. No surprise really

OkyDoke · 26/06/2024 11:50

No here too!

Musicaltheatremum · 26/06/2024 12:01

Oh my daughter has entered. She did the delayed 2020 one in October 21 but I couldn't go. It was the first ever race she'd done! Would be great to get in again but I hate crowds but as I'm retired I'll have no excuse not to go 🤣

Musicaltheatremum · 26/06/2024 13:39

My daughter got in! She's also running the Edinburgh marathon 4 weeks later! And a trailathon in the Edinburgh hills in September this year....mad.

RandomUsernameHere · 26/06/2024 14:16

Good luck everyone!

SuncreamAndIceCream · 26/06/2024 14:28

It's a no for me

14th no for me 😭

MakingPlans2025 · 26/06/2024 15:18

DCINightingale · 26/06/2024 15:23

10th ballot entry and I got in! I can't quite believe it

xsquared · 26/06/2024 18:04

If you didn't get in London this year, Manchester is on the same weekend and it's guaranteed entry if you still want to run a marathon.

You might even get a good for age time there to increase your chances of getting in to London 2026.

DCINightingale · 26/06/2024 19:03

Congratulations to those who have got a place, that is so exciting!

I've signed up for Manchester! I'd love to do a marathon before I turn 40 next year, and may never get into London, so Manchester feels like a great alternative

Well done all! I have a GFA but really need a break from marathons and the training having done two a year (a fairly fast) since 2021 and doing one this October.
Just constantly battling piriformis and hamstring niggles and need to get on top of them now.
Looking forward to a year off but have signed up to volunteer so hopefully can get a spot doing that!

I got a ballot place first try!
I can't believe it. I have a big birthday the day after so it seems like a great way to celebrate 🥳

JKnight09 · 27/06/2024 19:25

Finally got a place in 2023 but had just given birth so deferred it to 2025 which seemed a very long way away. Now feeling uncomfortably close.

Forestcantrun · 27/06/2024 22:21

I am gobsmacked but I got a place!!

Pickingmyselfup · 29/06/2024 20:52

I didn't get in which was both a disappointment and a relief. I am nowhere near ready for a marathon but I would have had to run it if I had got in so it's good I didn't but at the same time it would have been nice to.

Might look at Manchester for 2026, I have my name in the ballot for the London landmarks half next April.

Amsx · 29/06/2024 21:11

Got a no. I've never been more relived in my life. I need to hide my computer the day after watching all the Big Ben's etc running it. I'm a danger to myself. I've never so much as run for a bus.

Good luck to those of you who got in.
