Pt advice?

So I've never really done any form of exercise apart from walking. I like a little light yoga and pilates but definitely very new to both of those as well. I had a very challenging pregnancy which involved months of bed rest and now my wee one is 1.5 I'm feeling pretty much back to normal and I really want to start to build my fitness. But I'm not really sure where to start! I was so inactive during my pregnancy because I had to be and its taken this long for my pelvic and back issues to ease up but I'm also a bit scared of flaring those up again. So I'm thinking it might be worth investing in a PT who can give me a starting point and hopefully some accountability. I'd love to do some form of weights work but I have no idea what to do.

Is there anything particular I should be looking for in a pt? How often should I be seeing them to be able to notice a difference in myself?
