So I'm tracking diet and excercise on my Fitbit. I've set my calorie goal to 1400 a day.
Yet even when I have that many calories or less it's saying I'm over budget?
I've had 1319 calories in today and I've burnt over 3000.

Can someone help me understand my Fitbit please?

I'd read it as you have but only eating 1400 calories if you've burnt 3000 is not enough! I don't even know how you'd do the exercise to burn 3000 calories if that's all you'd eaten.

Yes 1400 calories should allow me to lose 2lbs a week.

It says under budget usually if I haven't put enough calories in...
I did 25,000 steps that day which is why I burnt 3000 cals.

That’s still a lot of calories for 25k steps if you were just walking. These things are also woefully inaccurate.

Silly question, but where it says Learn More, does it have a more detailed breakdown of what the calculation is?

Oh shut up, 1300 calories isn't a fucking lot!

I think she meant 3000 calories was a lot to burn! Which I agree with

Clearly she meant 3000 calories was a lot to burn walking 25000 steps 🙄

It looks like it has been lost in translation. Over Budget means you have less coming in than going out.

That's exactly what I meant!! 3000 calories is a lot to burn, particularly if you've only eaten 1400. I'd pass out if I did that much exercise on so little food.

I work in a care home and I go for quite long walks into town with really heavy people in wheelchairs so it's possible I did burn that many. I don't know...
