Loose running bottoms

I'm looking for an alternative to Lycra leggings for running, I've gained a few lbs and feel uncomfortable with them being so.... snug.

My wish list is they are a decent length (I'm 5'9), not a tight cuffed bottom (a loose one is ok) and not thick fleece jogger material as I want to wear them whatever the season.

Would you not prefer to wear a pair of shorts over the leggings, as I’ve seen others do?

@DustyLee123 I'd just prefer some slightly looser bottoms. I've seen some Under Armour ones but they are water resistant and that's not required.

There are some ON ones but they are £££

There used to be some Sweaty Betty ones but they don't seem to be in production at the moment, Fly taper or something 🤔

@hexsnidgett have you tried these bottoms?

I started running in some cheap thin cotton comfy joggers from Matalan. It felt great. Pockets too!

I also bought my joggers in Matalan and wear them for running. I also like that they have pockets. I have some Adidas ones now which are the comfiest trousers I've ever owned, but have cuffed bottoms and are quite thick, so are not suitable for running in the spring or summer.

Mine are a few years old, so not exactly the same. They are very cool and stretchy, I haven't actually run in them, just pilates and cycling, no issues.

Decalthon and Nike do running trousers which should cover what you’re looking for
