Having just completed London, I'm already looking ahead to next year while I'm still on that Marathon High.
I ran just under 3:30, and as it stands, the current qualifying time for my age group, 40- 44 is 3:40, giving me more than 10 minutes buffer.
However, I understand that 11,000 qualifiers for this year weren't accepted as the time was reduced by 5:29 faster than the qualifying time.
I am seriously considering registering for entry but I can't help feeling that it will have been all for nothing if they decided to lower the qualifying times by 5 minutes, and then adjust again with a 10 minute cut off time.
Anyway, if you have ever been fast enough to participate in Boston, what advice would you give? Is it all it's cracked up to be?
It's just an idea at the moment, and by the time registration opens, I may have regained my common sense and decide against entering!
