Walking trousers

Can anybody recommend good women's walking trousers please? Particularly ones with a decent range of leg length, or that would be simple to take up. I have 28" inside leg so regular are too long and short are too short. Nothing ever fits 😔
Maybe I need to look at men's for varying leg lengths muses.
Grateful for any suggestions!

Craghoppers have a great choice

Not strictly walking trousers, but Acai do outdoor water resistant trousers including fleece lined jeans type for winter that are fantastic. Nice and high at the waist, stretchy and not too wide and flappy. They do come up longish but offer leg lengths.

I prefer sports leggings, because all walking trousers seem to be designed for women with no arse.

Craghoppers. You can usually buy them discounted.

I have a pair of craghoppers - kiwis i think? Stretchy and come in different leg lengths. I got them in a craghopper online sale and went through topcashback too.

I buy craghoppers trousers sometimes but their sizing is so unreliable. I have a pair of size 10 that are too big and a pair of size 12 that fit snuggly.

Sweaty betty explorer trousers. They come in two lengths and a winter and summer weight. I wear them for all walking, except serious hiking. They are amazing. I like Rohan trousers if I need something more technical.

Crag Hoppers Mozzi are good. Theyre mid-rise and suit those of us with skinny legs and flat arses. They dry quickly too.

Nozi not Mozzi. 🤣

Marks and Spencer walking trousers. Go down a size or two. Water resistant, drawstring waist, adjustable hem, pockets, I love mine. So comfy.

Another vote for AÇAI

In 5'3", 28 inside leg, very happy in their Petite range. The thermal lines are really warm.

I am 5ft 2 and understand what you mean by nothing fits. Ever. The waist is wrong, the leg length is wrong, too tight, too baggy..... I now only wear hiking leggings. I have a great pair by Mammut (years old now). I would look for a decent, tough fabric, lots of pockets and good quality. Maybe have a look at what Cotswold Outdoor have.

Rohan do various leg lengths and can offer shortening dependant on where you buy them.

I buy from Mountain Warehouse as they have some in short lengths which I don't have to turn up (I need around 28" inside leg too) unfortunately the MW trousers I really like, and wear all the time (Explorer) don't seem to be available in short lengths at the moment

I always buy Dare2B walking trousers. Perfect fit and so comfy. Have you got a go outdoors near you? They have a great range of walking trousers of all brands.

I tried loads on the other week and (refers to photos) the Rab Lineal, Montane Terra Stretch and Berghaus Ortler 2.0 were all great and came in short options.
I then thought the better of spending that much and bought some Decathlon cheapies these which are surprising good for such thin fabric, but do need shortening now.

I also ordered some Acai trousers to try, they are brilliant but they seem to get longer in the crotch as well as the leg and the Regular were just ridiculously high waisted for me (and no short in my size). Great trousers though.

I’ve got Craghopper kiwi (?) as well, and thrilled to find they do a high-waisted style (as well as non high waisted).
