Are there any on here? I've finished and trying to make sure I keep going. Think I may just keep on with week 9 so I've at least got someone telling me I'm doing well until I'm trust myself to keep running.

I repeated Week 9 for the first few weeks after finishing, and now I just listen to music or podcasts. When I finish a run, I tell myself I’ve done really well and that I’m proud of me 😁 (usually just internally, but occasionally aloud!).

10k??

Half marathon??

Get a Garmin and try the coach training plans if you like structure and feedback!

Happierwithouthim · 15/04/2024 22:07

I'm there kirinm but I'm training for a half so at the moment I'm just aiming for a 5k each week and improving my time in a few weeks I'll start making one run a week longer. Why did you start running?

Just to elaborate on that, was the reason to get fit, lose weight, achieve 5k, or to become a runner?

RunningAndSinging · 16/04/2024 12:17

When I finished it I found a 5k to 10k app and signed up for a 10K race. Further isn’t always better though. Have you been to a parkrun? Running clubs can be really friendly and motivating too - mine is about to run a progression group for C25K graduates.

JassyRadlett · 16/04/2024 12:20

I finished in December, then did a 10k in Feb and another at the end of March which was so useful for keeping the motivation going!

I've now fully subscribed to Runna, the 10k programme was great and I'm now doing the 5k improvement programme. I definitely need that kind of structure (and preferably a goal!) to keep me motivated...

kirinm · 16/04/2024 12:55

For now I'm just aiming for consistency. Having the app and a target really helped.

I was a regular runner up until Covid. I've done a couple of half's and ran 3-4 times a week (including during pregnancy) but now I've struggled to find consistency since Covid. This C25K is as the first attempt I've completed and the first time I've run outside consistently for years so it's a big improvement.

I should probably aim for park run. I've done it before but not for a while. Maybe that should be my next target!

I finished not long ago. Did the Runna get fit/10k plan and how now signed up for a half in September. I’m super slow (5k 37 mins yesterday on flat and closer to 40mins in my hilly town) so working on weight loss and pace a bit.

You could do that & review again in summer to see if you want to progress further, depending on time constraints
