@Tacali Did you research this further? I’m also curious!

Mummytodo · 17/05/2024 22:53

@BrightNewLife I got one it only came this week but I love it. Starting at 30mins per day

everycowandagain · 19/05/2024 08:42

I love mine! I mostly walk on it but it goes up to 10 km/h so you can run on it if you aren't super fast.

I got mine from home fitness code.

I've just got one and I love it. Most come with wheels so you can wheel them into different parts of the house (in front of TV, under desk when working etc).

I'd say it's worth it if you're someone who does enjoy walking, or someone who enjoys just listening to a podcast. Times flies by quick when you've got your earphones in.

I'm pretty active as it is, so this was just an addition to my active lifestyle to get those extra steps in. So I know I won't just get bored as I love working out.

It mainly depends on why you want to buy one. They're much cheaper than other gym equipment, but also a lot of money if you're going to get bored of it in a few weeks.

I’m interested in one, what brands are good? What features should I look for?

What price range is enough for a decent one? I don’t want a cheap one that will break, I’d rather pay more and have it last longer.

Just got one. Love it so far, surprised how sturdy it is.

OldSow · 29/05/2024 18:48

I got rid of mine, I kept tripping over and falling off it 😂

Mummytodo · 29/05/2024 19:18

@FatAndFiftySomething I got this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/your-orders/pop?ref=ppx_yo2ov_mob_b_pop&orderId=202-3648773-8139557&lineItemId=lolipvqskirouoy&shipmentId=D2KRZKF1r&packageId=1&asin=B0CTB924L8

I got it because of the weight capacity it's 120 kg and at the time of buying I was 118kg. Alot of the weight limits are 110 or 115.

I paid abit extra because it has a bar that I can put up or down wanted it because I thought without one I'd fall off it lol

You can also store this flat and or standing up alot you can only store flat

It does look good, thanks. I’m about 104 kg at the moment, obviously I want to lose a bit, but I hadn’t thought to even check the weight capacity.

Mummytodo · 30/05/2024 08:11

@INeedAnotherName there are others with a higher weight capacity. I actually held off to buy one until I had lost a little weight and started by walking outside a little extra first went from 5 mins to then 10 mins and built up I realised I wanted to carry on but knew that would be difficult with the holidays (I have an ASD child and we struggle to get out due to her high sensory challenges)

@FatAndFiftySomething I honestly love it. Go on it atleast once per day for 30 mins. You may be able to get similar at a lower cost as you are lower starting weight then me :)

I have this one as well and I love it. Walking is the only type of cardio I like so I put on a tv show and walk till it’s over.

it is a little heavy but is still moveable.

I have this one, which was very expensive but is used daily by me and the teens. We live in a flat so wanted one that was easy to move, store away and wouldn't annoy the neighbours below. I've checked with them and they don't hear it at all.
