Phone holder for running

I have just started the C25K and found that the phone holder I gave is rubbish. Can anyone recommend one please? Ideally I'd like to be able access and use the controls whilst running.

Can't phone on a garmin. I take my phone with me on a run for safety-if anything happens I can call my DH etc. also, although I have a decent garmin, the music compatibility is poor. I like to listen to podcasts when I run, and would need to download them before I set off. Which is a pain!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I've a garmin, can I download to the garmin rather than just using it to control music on my phone without signing up to spotify premium/amazon music? Also can I change music while recording run on garmin?

@Happierwithouthim - I'm no expert, but I think it depends on what garmin you have. For example the 245 music version you can download to (I think).

Seconding the flipbelt. Mine sees me through anything up to about 20k. It fits a fairly large phone, a 300 ml bottle and some snacks and doesn't bounce or bother me at all. For longer runs I use a hydration vest with two bottles and more storage space.

If you're looking at watches but don't want to spend a ton I suggest looking at the Coros Pace 3. It's incredibly well designed, has great battery life and means I rarely need to get my phone out. Doesn't do music very well but I just run that off my phone.

@DoubleHelix79 whats the sizing like on a flipbelt? I’m a UK size 10 and I don’t know whether I am better with a S or CS. If you’ve any thoughts I’d be grateful

Er I just shove my phone in my bra.

I also use a Flipbelt.

Another vote for a flip belt

I've found the sizing info on the flipbelt website quite useful. Mine is a size S - I usually wear a UK 8 and it fits nicely on my hips without being loose or tight. They do have a fair bit of stretch so there is some wiggle room.
