Let's hope for another safe race. Maybe a woman can finish for the first time and hopefully there'll be a handful of Brits to cheer on. Although tbh, I'll cheer on anyone crazy enough to attempt it.

John Kelly began loop 4 at 31.50 (that's about 14 mins up on his time last year)

It means Jasmin is officially in 5th place, and in a time that it's definitely possible to finish from

He hasn't tweeted about Damo starting loop 4, so I hope he's OK

Sebastien Raichon began loop 4 at 33.16 (which makes him the seventh to go back out there )

Albert Herrero Casa finished loop 3 in 33.22

(I think there are still 4 runners on loop 3. The slowest loop 3 split by a runner who went on to finish 5 loops was 33.48)

Nothing is ever predictable at Frozen Head, but this looks a very strong set of loop 3 splits.

Im attaching a table (by John Sugden) giving loop 3 finish times and proportion who went on to finish 5 loops

Gripping stuff.

I actually love that the only things we can use to track this insane race are Twitter updates from one guy who needs to take occasional breaks to, you know....sleep, and a couple of Google sheets built from rumours and photos.

Yes how did Keith get to be 'the one'

I listened to this programme earlier where Jasim, Damon, John and Keith are interviewed. Keith is up last and explains how he came to be "the one".

Kind of you to say that, but there's a wrong number in that (also I didn't include the fun run longer loop times for 1 & 2 - makes note to self for next year!)

The corrected version for the remaining part of the event is:

Loop 3 cut off (for the 100)
Thurs 21:17 (Thurs 19:17)

Fun run ends:
Fri 01:17 (Thurs 23:17)

Loop 4 cut off:
Fri 09:17 (Fri 05:17)

Race ends: Fri 21:17 (Fri 19:17)

As I type, Tomo Ihara has started loop 4 on 35.04. He must be the 9th!!

Maxime Gaudin has completed loop 3 in 34.43, but no word on whether he's started a 4th

There is still one runner who could come in in time to start a 4th loop (Thomas Dunkerbeck - daring shorts man). 55mins to go if he wantsto try
But no-one with a loop 3 split this long has finished the 100.

And Guillame Calmettes (missing page man) is still out here - he missed the loop 2 cut off for the 100 but could still complete a fun run.
