I'm a 40 year old female with three year old daughter! I used to be very into fitness, until I fell pregnant in 2020. Diet and fitness has gone down hill the past four years. Tomorrow is the start of a new month and I want to prioritise my health for my daughter. Diet I can sort out myself, but was wondering if any PT can advise on a suitable gym routine to get me up and running. As I said fitness levels are low but happy to push myself. Want to do some cardio and weights. Aiming to go to gym 3/4 times a week and go for an hours walk most days, now evenings and mornings are getting lighter. Thanks for your help in advance. I can't afford a PT so thought I would ask on here first

I've been doing Pilates on YouTube alongside a couch25k programme. There are loads of apps with various bodyweight exercises and training regimes, too. You might find it helpful to follow these rather than wing it? I'm in a similar position to you and this is what I'm doing.

Does the gym you attend not do a free PT session every so often. Mine do one a month and I do find them useful.
